Workshops

The upper elementary school through middle school years are the formative times for children. They may be developing interests and laying the foundation for the fields that they might pursue in the future. Our 1-hour workshops are designed to introduce concepts from STEM fields and guide students to perform hands-on experiments to reinforce their learning.  After all, the basic concepts are the key to great inventions.

In Person Workshops

During the pandemic, HandsOnSTEM adapted an online format. Staying true to our promise to make our programs interactive, we started making experiment kits. With the help of Peninsula Bridge, these kits are distributed to the students in our program. We have recently switched over to in-person workshops again, where we are able to provide better mentorship to the students in a classroom setting.

High School Volunteers

Our high school volunteers share their knowledge in different categories of STEM. They design experiments to teach the basic concepts behind a process or a scientific phenomenon and help cultivate the scientific thinking of the students.
